Mitchel Gray is a photographer, videographer, and author. He has to his credit two best selling photography books (St. Martin’s Press), and has illustrated several more. He has photographed over 100 magazine covers, more than 1000 editorial and ad pages in the sports, fitness, life style, and fashion worlds ranging from Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, Runners World, Bicycling, Vogue, Mademoiselle, Esquire, the The Sporting News, and many more online publications. His portrait subjects include Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Robert Downey, Jr., Zendaya, P.Diddy, et al. His current major series, “Bodies in Action”, focuses primarily on illustrating the spectacular bodies of professional athletes, Olympians, and professional dancers from great companies. “Bodies in Action” employs a unique aspect that works beautifully for dancers and athletes. Many of the photos appear to illustrate more than one person. In reality, it is the very same person dancing or competing with themselves, enabling two sides of the same body to be illustrated simultaneously. The series has enjoyed three gallery shows in New York to date. His other fine art work has been shown in galleries in Europe and Japan as well.
